FRIO CALIENTE HISTORY

FRIO CALIENTE  beginnings were in Spain in the 1990s. In an effort to grow his business, Lucas Mendez started the manufacturing of brass gas pipes and refrigeration coils. Shortly after, two of his sons, Louis and Enrique, joined him in the business and, before long, they became fabricators of stainless steel kitchen equipment, manufacturing under the name Mendez Kitchen. The company grew and, in the mid 2000s moved into a large manufacturing plant in the north part of Palencia.

The company flourished and the plant was expanded after the death of Lucas ‘founder and father’. Eric Atoza joined the firm and began the expansion to the U.S. territory. Recognizing the potential for growth, Eric Atoza soon took the organization to a new level when he formed a sister corporation called FRIO CALIENTE to focus on standard catalogue items such as counters, tables, refrigeration units and much more.. Within a short period, the company expanded its operation and opened a facility in the South of Mexico and has been planning worldwide growth.
